Summaries via e-mail

Subscribers to the mailing list receive the summaries each week via email. These are the same summaries as you see here on the website and are usually sent out during the weekend, ie soon after the Friday episode, though this does depend on other commitments.

The summaries mailing-list is implemented as a Google group. If you would like to subscribe to this list send an email to

The subject and any message content will be ignored by the listserver.

You will receive an email asking you to confirm your join request; this is to ensure that the request really came from you.
Click the 'Join This Group' button in the email, then set an appropriate display name (it is recommended not to display your email address) and set Email Delivery Preference to 'Notify me for every new message' (don't worry there will only be one per week).
The list moderator will be asked to approve your subscription; again, this is to reduce spam. Finally you will receive an email informing you that your request was approved.

If you subsequently decide that the summaries are not for you, there are instructions at the foot of each weekly post on how to unsubscribe.

Occasional or regular help

The summaries are provided by a small group of volunteers who would welcome some help, particularly at holiday times. If you would like to be a summariser, regularly or occasionally, please get in touch using the following address:
